Artist YvonneMaya Bakker is working on a remarkable series of portraits featuring women from past centuries who were brave, bold, or rebellious—yet often forgotten or never received the recognition they deserved.

Each portrait is accompanied by a short video in which Yvonne provides a summary of the life and achievements of the portrayed woman. Visitors can scan a QR code next to the painting to watch and listen to the video on their own phones.

On March 8, 2025, during International Women’s Day, a prototype exhibition will be set up at the International Meeting Space (Ouderkerkerlaan 14) to test this unique combination of portrait and video.
