Global Café at Connection Circle: A Meaningful Beginning

Today marked a wonderful beginning at Connection Circle with the launch of Global Café – an initiative of Participe Amstelland, in collaboration with Connection Circle.

Eleven women from diverse backgrounds came together for candid conversations about life in Amstelveen—their needs, their ideas, and what they hope to give back to the community.

What emerged was simple and powerful: a spirit of giving, a shared need for connection, and a safe space where every voice counts.

Initially, there were questions. Why are we building this community? What is the purpose of this space? Slowly, through shared stories and quiet moments of recognition, the answers revealed themselves.

It was deeply comforting to be in a space where giving and connection went hand in hand. Where collaboration felt natural. Where you could share an idea, offer a skill, discover something new—or simply sit with a cup of coffee and feel less alone.

First encounters always leave a lasting impression. This one reminded us that many of us are walking similar paths and harboring the same hopes. It subtly shifted the feeling from “I” to “we”—and confirmed why Connection Circle is so important.

Because everyone deserves a place to unwind. A place where you don’t have to justify yourself. Where you can be yourself—curious, tired, hopeful, or simply in need of good company.

Connection Circle brings all of this together under one roof—a space to meet, grow, and gradually expand your network.

The first Global Café launched today with eleven women and a simple idea: connection.

Each gathering adds a new voice, a new story, and a new place at the table.

The circle is open.

Connection Circle grows because people find it, return to it, and make it part of their story.

Keep an eye on our website for upcoming events, including our flagship event, Global Café—a place that starts with you and grows because of you.

We hope to welcome more people who are drawn to these conversations, these moments, and this way of coming together.
